Update on Covid vaccinations within the UK

When the UK government approved a coronavirus vaccine, it became the first Western country to do so. The authorisation represented a breakthrough scientific achievement to help combat the devastating pandemic.

The vaccine started to be rolled out the week of the 7th December with 90 year old, Margaret Keenan, being the first person to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (the vaccination having taken place in Coventry on the morning of Tuesday, 8th December).  The UK Government has now pledged that all adults aged 50+ in the UK should receive a Covid vaccine by May 2021.
