Alhamer offers one shop solution for distribution, drug registration, inventory control, sales and after-sales service. 1959: Mr. Rasul Al-Jishi, the first pharmacist in Bahrain and one of the first in the Gulf, founded Al-Jishi Pharmacy in Manama Old Souk.

By 1963: the Pharmacy had diversified its activities by providing medical equipment to patients in the healthcare sector in Bahrain.

By early 1980’s: Al-Jishi Pharmacy had changed to Al-Jishi Corporation.

In addition to the Al-Jishi Pharmacy (now Corp), the company has opened three other pharmaceutical outlets to better reach its customers:

Al-Farabi Pharmacy, Seef Pharmacy and Al-Hayat Pharmacy

From the outset, the company has participated in many major health projects in Bahrain. Today its main customers are the Bahraini Ministry of Health, Bahrain’s Defence Force hospital, private hospitals, clinics and universities.

The company has three main divisions; Pharmaceutical, Medical Equipment and Consumables. A workforce of approx. 100 is employed across the three divisions.

Sole distributor for some of the world’s renown healthcare companies incl. Stryker, MSD, Roche, AstraZeneca, 3M and Ethicon a Johnson & Johnson company.
